Kiki Vassilakis : photographer
First off, thank you so much for considering me for this massive project. I’ve been an Albany resident for most of my life and love this idea. With so many struggling right now, a lot of whom I’ve worked with before, offering them just a little something is super appreciated I’m sure. As far as being able to cover all of these businesses, I don’t see it as a problem as long as there is a little flexibility with scheduling.
My proposal for a project of this size would be to work more on a tier level. You mentioned potential inclusion and I feel pricing it this way is a much more economical situation. You could have 30, 75, or all 160 people be interested (which would be amazing) so I felt bulk pricing would work.
What you’d be getting with this would be the shots that were listed in the description for the position:
1 Vertical close up of business owner(s) inside business
1 Vertical wide shot of business owner(s) inside business
1 Horizontal close of up business owner(s) inside business
1 Horizontal wide shot of business owner(s) inside business
1 Vertical shot of business interior without owner
1 Horizontal shot of business interior without owner
1 Vertical photo of business owner(s) in front of business name (where applicable)
1 Horizontal photo of business owner(s) in front of business name (where applicable)
All eight images of each establishment would be delivered by no later than 5pm on October 30th. Based on the full number of businesses estimated that would be 1,280 photos. These unbranded images would be fully edited, uncompressed jpegs that are individually labeled with specific business names and uploaded to a folder that DABID will provide. DABID will have ownership over these photos which will allow you to:
reproduce the photograph;
prepare derivative works based upon the photograph;
distribute copies of the photograph to the businesses by transfer of ownership, or by lending;
display the photograph publicly;
These could be used for such things as social media, graphics, marketing materials, etc. What this wont allow you to do is sell, lease, or rent the photos for your own personal profit.
Other than what is stated above, this pricing covers:
Creative fee
Time spent scheduling all shoots
Travel to and from businesses
Post production editing time
Usage fees
For a project of this size with this time frame, the tiered pricing would go as follows:
$200 per business for the first 50 businesses, $175pb for the next 50, and then $150pb for the last 60. That would break down to $25 per photo, $23.44pp, and $21.68pp based on those tiers.
What I can expect from you for this project:
Spreadsheet with contact info (phone and email), availability, business address and hours
A 25% non-refundable deposit with the rest due 3 days prior to delivery.
Listed below are examples of what you can expect for this project. Each image was edited and styled to go with each particular business.
Thanks so much for your consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you.
