I think one of the ways you can describe me as a photographer is passionate. It’s one of the reasons I focus so much on photographing people and various aspects of their lives. Whether it’s live music, weddings, family portraits, an event or your business - I’m searching to capture the emotion behind it all.
I grew up in a very Greek household, having been born in Athens and coming to the states as a child, it’s really shaped my views as an artist. I spent a lot of time as a kid fascinated by my dads camera and trying to figure it out. It wasn’t until high school that I really dove in. Capturing my immigrant household and extended family. Using them all as subjects for class projects and personal adventures.
At the same time I started developing and honing skills as a musician. Studying music business with a focus in percussion well into college, I became a figure in the ever growing music scene in Upstate New York. A few years later I set my camera down and started focusing more on music. Traveling the country with my band at the time and putting all my energy into being the best drummer and band mate I could be. It wasn’t until about 2017 that I started taking photography seriously again and started meshing my two loves.
Since then I’ve grown so much as not only an artist, but as a human being. I’ve traveled so much, won a few awards, been published a few times. But what really matters are the experiences I’ve had and the relationships I’ve made a long the way. From hearing about me through friends to turning into repeat clients, to turning into some of my closest friends.
I’m far from someone with a niche but I would never trade the time spent behind a camera documenting all the passion around me. My experiences in all these various settings has made me quite versatile and almost chameleon-like.
Basically, I’m there when you need me, and hidden when you don’t.
